RULES
Alice Rocks Nature Preserve is private property. To access the preserve all visitors must read, understand and comply with all of these rules. If you are not willing or not able to read and understand and abide by these rules, then do not enter the property. By entering the property, you agree that you have read, understood and will abide by all of the rules below:
Access to Alice Rocks Nature Preserve is limited to those individuals with proof of authorized access permission in the form of a use permit and completed liability waiver. Anyone without a permit and a signed waiver is trespassing and subject to prosecution.
“Leave No Trace” principles must be followed at all times while in the preserve. Pack it in – Pack it out. This includes your own solid human waste and all food items.
No plants, animals, rocks nor anything else may be damaged, harmed, moved or removed from the preserve.
No guiding nor any commercial activity is permitted (without expressed specific consent from the property owner which must be obtained separately and is outside of the standard permit to enter the Preserve).
Camping is not permitted within the preserve (without expressed specific consent from the property owner which must be obtained separately and is outside of the standard permit to enter the Preserve).
Access to the preserve is from dawn to dusk (daylight hours) only (without expressed specific consent from the property owner which must be obtained separately and is outside of the standard permit to enter the Preserve).
Dogs or other pets are permitted the preserve but all pet waste must be picked up and carried out in accordance with leave no trace.
No drugs nor alcoholic beverages are allowed within the preserve.
Absolutely no smoking, flames, lighters, stoves or burning of any kind is allowed within the preserve.
No climbing on trees within the preserve.
No rock climbing, scrambling, rappelling, climbing route development, bolt or anchor placement nor replacement (without expressed specific consent from the property owner which must be obtained separately and is outside of the standard permit to enter the Preserve).
All visitors must remain on developed trails and roads at all times (without expressed specific consent from the property owner which must be obtained separately and is outside of the standard permit to enter the Preserve).
Visitors must use a GPS app with topo maps and location finding to know their location and to help ensure they remain within the property boundaries (we use and recommend Gaia GPS)
Abide by any and all signage at the preserve.
Be willing and able to read maps to ensure that visitors stay within the Preserve and on the approved pathways.
Permits may not be shared.
Anyone not abiding by the rules will be required to leave and not permitted to enter in the future.
